With the social media streaming platform Netflix, you can watch the most random motion pictures and TV shows. One minute, you could be watching Chef’s Table and the following, old scenes of Friends. One day you’re watching money heist and the following gorging on Sex Education.

Did you recently watch a foreign language film and want to recommend it to your friends? But wait, you can not remember the name? Well, if this is the case, you don’t need to feel bad. Generally, this amazing platform can give you a tough time. It can cause monitoring the shows you have watched more hard than it may be. That is until you discover Recently Watched.

Netflix has insignificant tracking yet one thing it tracks is the thing that you watch and when. Some portion of that is to evaluate if the content it gives is mainstream and the other is to help you track down that random foreign language film you enjoyed a week ago, which you can not recollect the name of. It is this element, considered Recently Watched, that we are going to discuss here.

In this article, we are going to show you a few steps by which you can track down your recently watched films or shows on Netflix. However, to get a complete idea of the whole process, you need to stay tuned and read the whole article. So let’s dive in.

Recently Watched on Netflix:

If you like to watch OTT content on Netflix rarely like on weekends, or you binge-watch entire seasons in one day just like we do, Netflix treats everyone alike. It highlights the shows you have recently watched in a separate ‘Watch Again’ section. Although it might not cover everything, it will provide you with a general idea of which genre you have been rushing through these days. If you wish to look for a movie that you have seen but cannot seem to remember its name, there’s a good chance that you’ll find it here.

Still don’t know how to access your recently watched content? Don’t worry. All you have to do is scroll down the homepage till you see the “Watch it again” section. This won’t show you the complete list of series and movies you’ve watched so far. If you wish to watch the full record of this stuff. Follow these steps as follows:

1) Go on to Netflix and login

2) Click the icon of your profile and select Account

3) Tap on which profile you wanna see the records for.

4) Click on ‘Viewing Activity

At this place, you will be able to see every TV show or movie of any genre you’re watched before. If one fine day you decide to see if you’re getting your Netflix’s worth, just follow the steps, and bam, that’s how you do it. If you wish to re-watch any series, just hit Play and enjoy.

How to clear this Recently Watched on Netflix:

You wanna keep your watching history a secret from your significant other or you don’t want your nosy roommates to poke around and see how much binging you have been doing. You can opt for clearing out all of this history at once. The best thing is that the history will also disappear from the Watch again section on your home page.

Here’s how to do it:

Navigate to your ‘My activity page.

All the titles will appear in front of you.

Select the ‘Stop’ or no entry icon present to the right of each title you want to clear.

Delete all the titles you want to clear.

When you confirm, you will see a notice stating “All titles will no longer appear and no more recommendation will be made to you”

If you’re on the mobile app, select My profile and Viewing activity. Do the same again.

The secret advantage to clearing this is that Netflix makes new recommendations based on the type of content you watch. If you clear it regularly, it will give Netflix a chance to present a wide variety of content that you have not watched before. Maybe you will like that new genre too, who knows.

Resetting your profile:

If your suggestions to watch are becoming too generic or just similar altogether, that’s because you were watching stuff from that genre or related genre for the last couple of weeks. Whenever you feel like it is time for a change, whether it reminds you of your toxic ex or you just like to keep things clean. In either case, resetting your profile is a good option.

Here’s how to reset your profile:

First, clear all your individual entries from the My activities tab as taught before.

Scroll to the bottom of My activity page and select Hide all.

Confirm your choice again

It will take a total of 24 hours for Netflix to wipe out all of the data but once it is complete, your selections will be good as new again and you can start watching new stuff again.
